Cyperus Alternifolius, also known as the Umbrella Plant, is so called because of the shape of its umbels of grassy spikelets. It makes a popular house plant and is excellent for those who overwater their house plants, as you can't with this one. Protect from frost in winter. Place inside, keep moist with as much light as possible. Makes an excellent conservatory plant.
