Pontederia Cordata, or Pickerel Weed, has heart-shaped green leaves with clusters of blue flowers borne on a spike. A tall late flowering structural plant. It is free flowering and slowly grows into a large clump. Little maintenance is required. Trim just above the water surface after foliage has died back in Autumn to tidy.
