Triops obtain oxygen they need from the water through their feet and this characteristically places them in a group of crustaceans called Branchiopods. Your Triops scientific name is Triops Longicaudatus, but their common names are 'Dinosaur Shrimp' or 'Tadpole Shrimp'.
